Crash Data Retrieval Services |
Crash Data Retrieval (CDR) is the use of a combination of hardware and software to obtain crash or other event data from the Event Data Recorder (EDR) in a passenger vehicle's Airbag Control Module (ACM).
We have the necessary equipment, training, and experience to obtain this data using one of the following EDR Tools:
- Bosch CDR Tool
- Hyundai/ Kia EDR Tool
- Tesla EDR Tool

We are no longer providing direct access to the current Bosch vehicle coverage list, but it is available on the Bosch web site under the Documents section here.
|
If you wish to retain our Crash Data Retrieval services please send an email to Kent @ getEDRdata.com and provide information which includes the year, make, and model of the vehicle; preferably the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Also please include the location of the vehicle. With that information we will be able to provide you with a cost estimate.

Please read this important information regarding
Event Data Recorder (EDR) data.
There is BAD information circulating on the Internet that states EDR data is erased after 250 ignition cycles. This only affected one manufacturer (General Motors), and that "practice" stopped in around model year 2010.
NO other manufacturer erases data after a certain number of ignition cycles.
Starting in model year 2013 the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration requires events to be recorded providing there is memory space available. In other words EDR data cannot and will not be cleared after a certain number of ignition cycles on 2013 and newer vehicles.
