This course is approved for 24 ACTAR CEUs. This course is approved for IAI Crime Scene Certification Continuing Education/Professional Development Credits for recertification (not application).
Course Description: This three-day, 24-hour advanced course discusses the advanced principles and operation of CrashZone/Crime Zone™ software used for illustrating crash and crime scenes. It will further the knowledge base and skills that current users possess by expanding their knowledge of the advanced features of the programs including accident reconstruction tools and 2D & 3D animations.
Note: Attendees should have completed a basic-intermediate course with the software and be proficient in its use.
The course will provide the attendees with effective ways of maximizing the 3D capabilities of the software program. Attendees will learn from lecture, actual case examples, and hands-on experience all designed to promote three-dimensional thinking.
The fourth, optional day will be instructor led accident reconstruction case studies using CrashZone's reconstruction and animation tools. Attendees will "reconstruct" two collisions calculating impact & pre-impact speeds and then render animations depicting the pre-crash and crash sequences.
Note: This class is designed for crash investigators, crime scene investigators, field personnel, and others who use CrashZone or CrimeZone to complete scale diagrams of crash and crime scenes.
